Our dedicated distribution team performs an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from automated and manual stock locations, and sorting and packing orders.
In the Diamond & Gemstone Department, stones are sorted accurately with careful handling and precise paperwork.
Orders are hand-counted using tools like tweezers, digital gauges, and scales.
Matching stones by cut, color, and clarity is essential, and all orders are processed in Oracle.
The Diamond & Gemstone Order Processor is responsible for efficiently filling customer orders of loose diamonds and gemstones, under the leadership of the Order Processing Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process straight fill lines for customer-specific size and/or color requirements.
Accurately process match lines, including matching and bagging stones with specific size and/or color requirements.
Ensure quality assurance of stones for both customer and internal orders.
Fill all orders with a minimum accuracy rate of 99.92% or 99.94% based on length of service.
Process broken/exchange batch orders for the Stone Setting Department accurately.
Match requested gemstones accurately for customer mountings.
Verify receipts, stock new products, and restock customer returns.
Organize bin inventory efficiently.
Perform inventory cycle counting for the opening shift and closing duties for the closing shift.
Store bins and secure each workstation at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient eyesight capable of inspecting stones for cut, color, and clarity.
Basic computer skills for moving batches through the Oracle Tracking System.
Willingness to cross-train and learn new skills.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for the entire work shift.
Great manual dexterity is required for handling and inspecting small gemstones.
The role requires focus and attention to detail for visual inspection tasks.
