Worknet Staffing is hiring Water Meter Readers for work within Lafayette Parish. The day begins by obtaining a listing of meters that must be manually read for that day. Then safely operate a company vehicle to the various locations. Manually read the water meter and input the data into a handheld device.  There will be times when the meter is covered in dirt, mud, water, etc. and will have to be cleaned to be made legible.

Work week is M-F 7am - 4pm. 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE READING OR WORKING WITH WATER METERS IS A PLUS.

Salary Range: $17.00/hr

Qualifications:

Only apply if you can meet the following list of requirements:

• MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING IN ALL-WEATHER TYPES.
• MUST POSSESS A LOUISANA DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH INSURABLE MVR.
• Must be comfortable using handheld computer to input data retrieved from meters. 
• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times when representing the company. 
• Must operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. 
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must have reliable transportation to the work site. 
• Must be able to work the assigned days and time schedule with very little interruption. 
• Must possess the time management skills needed to organize and complete the day's assignments.
