CGI is seeking a U.S. Corporate Benefits Specialist to support the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs across the United States. This role partners closely with Human Resources, payroll, vendors, and business leaders to ensure benefits are administered accurately, remain compliant with federal and state regulations, and deliver a positive employee experience.
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of U.S. employee benefits, exceptional analytical and customer service skills, and experience supporting health and welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave programs within a large, multi state organization. This position may be performed in a hybrid or remote environment based on business needs.
CGI will consider candidates proximate to any U.S. office. CGI utilizes a hybrid working model and partners should be prepared to work on site at a CGI office, as needed.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Administer U.S. health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefit programs
- Serve as a subject matter expert for employees, managers, and HR partners regarding benefit eligibility, enrollment, and plan provisions
- Assist with annual Open Enrollment activities, including employee support and system testing
- Partner with third party administrators, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve benefit issues accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and Section 125 requirements
- Support implementation of new benefit programs, process improvements, and HR technology enhancements
- Analyze benefit utilization and program metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Participate in benefits related projects while maintaining high levels of customer service and operational excellence
Salary Range: $46,400.00 - $148,600.00
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience administering U.S. employee benefits programs
- Working knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave programs, and voluntary benefits
- Understanding of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125, and other applicable employment regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefit information clearly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment
Desired qualifications
- Experience supporting benefits in a large, multi state or global organization
- Experience with vendor management and benefits implementation projects
- Knowledge of HR analytics and benefits reporting tools
