- The role of the SysOps Help Desk Associate is to provide tier 1 support for hardware and software issues to all corporate users.
- This involves assisting with technical inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and resolving common issues, ensuring that systems are properly set up and maintained.
- For more complex issues, the Help Desk Associate will escalate tickets to the appropriate teams for further resolution while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily to cover core hours, although there may be a requirement to cover outside of normal office hours
- Document solutions and ensure others are informed of changes and developments
- Handling and resolving tier 1 support issues, while efficiently escalating more complex problems to the appropriate teams for further resolution.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft and Apple operating systems
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service skills and patience
- Pleasant phone skills and demeanor
- Able to read and understand technical manuals
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Minimum manual labor is involved, ability to lift up to 40 pounds
