Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Process prescriptions through insurance with attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complies with federal and state regulations.
• Assist in navigating prescription insurance billing and prior authorization requirements. 
• Investigate patient insurance benefits to help minimize out-of-pocket expenses.
• Support the approval process for various insurance and assistance programs. 
• Communication and Customer Service:
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the proper person if you are not able to assist them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and prescribers to resolve issues and fulfill requests. 
  • Answer patient questions about pricing, shipping, and delivery devices with patience and empathy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and regulations affecting specialty pharmacy.
• Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
• Proactively support pharmacy team members with general duties including point of sale, shipping, and inventory management.
• Ensure timely patient contact to confirm information and verify insurance coverage.
