General Purpose of the Job:

  • Develop software by writing and modifying code to improve user experiences all while maintaining consistency with the overall design of our organization's information system’s architecture.
  • Under general supervision, responsible for designing, developing, modifying, implementing, and globally deploying moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confirm and generate project requirements by reviewing input and output requirements with an analyst, supervisor, and client.
  • Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains functionality of custom software applications.
  • Develop reports using SSRS, Crystal Report, Power BI or other methods of generating standard and efficient reports.
  • Maintain historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
  • Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements and preparing work-flow charts and diagrams.
  • Understand current design patterns, best practices, and coding standards as they pertain to the languages used.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Ability to work from office and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline or the equivalent in work experience.
  • At least five (5) or more years, preferred, of programming and development experience with languages such as ColdFusion, .Net, or other comparable web-based languages.
  • At least five (5) or more years, preferred, of experience with database transactions – writing/optimizing queries using various programming languages:  SQL, HTML 5, jQuery, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, NSI, etc.
