Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Develop core enterprise data architecture principles.
- Govern projects for adherence to standards and to approved architectures.
- Develop domain specific, master data or advanced analytics, architecture pattern, as required.
- Partner with industry analysts, software vendors and internal stakeholders to develop data architecture strategies.
- Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable data governance in line with the client governance best practices and policies.
- Collaborate with the data stewards and security officers to enhance and maintain highest data governance and production.
- Partner with data engineering and data owner(s) to define, implement, and enforce data governance, security best practices and policies.
- Ensure data quality and governance throughout its lifecycle, minimizing data sprawl and reducing system complexity
- Provide clean, dependable data feeds to the BI team to support dashboards, reports, and analytics in tools like Power BI.
- Act as an internal advocate for data principles, educating engineers on effective data governance and security.
- Work across the stack to modify event triggers, configure transformations, and implement data capture mechanisms within product code and data tools.
- Streamline Processes – Assist in improving business processes supporting data delivery to reduce time, operationalization of data management, and modernize architecture.
- Support modern data governance and AI trend and technology
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture, with proven expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines, developing a roadmap (migration paths identify technical debt/risks) and preparing meta data for migration.
- Strong data governance and data catalog integration, data lake, to identify and document meta data in a standard and reusable format.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Oracle and experience with modern data warehousing platforms
- Hands-on experience with event-tracking systems such as Segment and behavioral analytics tools
- Familiarity with Azure data fabric and related data orchestration tools.
- Experience working within azure data governance tool such as Purview is a plus.
- Knowledge of BI and visualization tools such as Power PI.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive mindset with a focus on reducing complexity, standardization, and delivering high-quality data as a service
- Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, object-oriented technology, data warehousing, and relational database engines.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Master's Degree preferred.
