BackSenior AWS Cloud Engineer

Position Description:
CGI Federal seeks multiple Senior AWS Cloud Engineers to support cloud design, engineering, automation, and security for a major federal cloud modernization and analytics initiative. Engineers in this role will enable secure deployment of cloud-based applications, infrastructure components, and COTS tools across AWS GovCloud and Commercial environments.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Build, deploy, and maintain multi-environment AWS infrastructure supporting analytics, prototyping, and operational workloads.
- Implement automation using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines incorporating security at each stage.
- Deploy and optimize Palo Alto firewalls across cloud regions.
- Configure VPCs, subnets, routing tables, TGW, and related networking components.
- Integrate cloud identity solutions including Okta, EntraID, PIV, and SailPoint.
- Deploy, operate, and maintain a cloud-based Data Lake environment.
- Support cloud connectivity solutions including Direct Connect.
- Maintain compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and support ATO-related activities.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Strong AWS cloud engineering background with emphasis on networking, IAM, and platform security.
- Experience in infrastructure-as-code automation.
- Proficiency in scripting and system automation.
- US Citizenship and ability to meet federal clearance requirements.
Desired:
- Experience with Palo Alto firewall deployment in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with multi-contractor Agile delivery environments.
