Position Responsibilities:

  • The candidate’s primary responsibility includes facilitating community planning activities within the Acadiana Region.
  • The ideal candidate possesses multi-disciplinary skills to work on regional programming in areas related to not only Economic and Community Development, but also transportation planning, land-use planning, watershed planning, and grant writing.
  • Provides professional and technical assistance
  • Collates, analyses and presents data relevant to APC projects and initiatives.
  • Provide project management for various projects and programs; track the progress of deliverables, schedules, and budgets; ensure timely project communication with staff and project partners.
  • Preparation of written, oral, and visual reports and presentations for various audiences and groups.
  • Coordinate and participate in the preparation, administration, and evaluation of various grants from the state and federal government that provide funding for local programs and projects.


Qualifications:

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Any equivalent education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
