BackQuality Control Inspector

Performs inspections and tests for at receiving, in-process and final for all production parts, subassemblies, purchased parts, outside operations and completed assemblies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections.
- Responsible for performing hardness testing.
- Responsible for maintaining gage calibrations.
- Responsible for documenting inspection results.
- Responsible for determining accuracy of heat codes and material test reports.
- Responsible for initiating documentation for nonconforming materials, components, sub-assemblies and finished assemblies.
- Verification of effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive actions.
- Maintain a professional relationship with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, final prep personnel, and supervisors and managers.
- Know and understand Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the QMS.
- Comply with all health and safety rules.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:- This job operates in an environment where the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, working around moving mechanical parts .

TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES:
- Testing, Measuring and Monitoring equipment such as calipers, various micrometers, height gages, indicators and comparators.
- Forklift trucks
- Computers and software applications.
- PPE
Salary Range: $16 to $20 an hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Good computer and communication skills required.

- Visual Acuity testing to J2 with or without corrected vision required
- Computers and software applications.
- Color contrast differentiation testing required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate or hold GED certificate required.
- Six months related experience.
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screens.
