Duties:

• Write clean, high-quality scripts that test website functionality automatically in Cypress.
• Spearhead new testing frameworks and strategies, including those for load testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
• Incorporate automated test suite into the applications’ continuous integration pipelines.
• Maintain ownership of automated test suite scripts and push architectural changes for the entire suite.
• Enable development teams to add to test environment through reusable and scalable components and through education sessions.
• Conduct various levels of tests – functional, integration, load, manual, acceptance, etc – for websites, services, applications, and APIs.
• Track results a performance of test case results over time and create reports on those analytics.
• Log and document defects in the ticket tracking system.
• Identify specific cases that should be automated and discuss them with manual QA analysts.
• Participate in plannings, kickoffs, and other Scrum ceremonies to define the sprint scope.
• Collaborate with development teams on testing requirements, test case authoring, and acceptance criteria.
• Reviewing new features and designs to ensure functionality, performance, and usability.
• Reviewing new code checked into production to ensure functionality and security.
• Finding new ways to improve your skills and pushing our team to keep getting better.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in related occupations.
• In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study plus any amount of experience. 
•  Position requires 3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s or any amount of experience with a Master’s in the following:
  • (1) Creating and maintaining automated test suites using Cypress or a similar framework
  • (2) Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar
  • (3) Using SQL Server Management Studio or Oracle SQL Developer to query databases for test data preparation and troubleshooting
  • (4) Using Postman or similar tools to test and validate RESTful APIs
  • (5) Designing reusable and scalable test automation frameworks
  • (6) Participating in Agile development cycles, including attending sprint ceremonies and collaborating with development teams on acceptance criteria
  • (7) Using tools: Jira or similar to log, document, and track defects to closure.
