Position Description:

  • Our project is in need of an experienced QA Automation Engineer to guide our journey to full test automation (unit, functional, regression, performance, etc).
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing a test automation framework, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure product quality.
  • You will drive the overall solution, work closely with the team to build the framework and test automation process/tools, and to improve the overall testing process.
  • This will be a hands-on position requiring technical skills to design, write, and build test automation for a case management/CRM COTS tools and web services.
  • This position is located in our Lafayette, LA, Fairfax, VA or Baltimore, MD office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
  • You will be required to be in a CGI Federal office two days per week


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create test plans.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure product quality.
  • Report and track bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve the automation framework and test coverage.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in test automation.


Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree and proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and Groovy.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Apache Jmeter, Selenium, SoapUI, Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
