Responsible for the oversight of current agency services and programs, including Case Management, Homemaking, Sitters, and Transportation and any future services, and/or programs.
Responsible for the oversight of all personnel matters for employees working under services and programs. Establishes sound working relationships with employees, members, volunteers, and the community.
In conjunction with the Executive Director, helps to publicize agency services, programs, activities, and events. This may include television and/or radio appearances on behalf of the agency.
In conjunction with the Executive Director, helps to seek out additional funding sources for the agency. This may include grant-writing and conducting fundraisers.
In conjunction with the Executive Director, helps the agency with meeting the programmatic goals set by Cajun Area on Aging, Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs (GOEA), and Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD).
Oversees the agency’s services and programs and ensures that all tasks are carried out by each program.
Ensures that agency services are being rendered to senior population with dignity and respect.
Ensures that units of service of each department are being met while addressing any deficiencies.
Sometimes acts as a liaison between the Executive Director and the public, addressing concerns from clientele and may, on occasion, attend various meetings on behalf of the agency.
Assists the Executive Director in the recruitment, employment, and release of personnel, both paid staff and volunteers that pertain to services and programs.
Verifies valid auto insurance for employees who work with services and programs on a quarterly basis and submits any updates the Human Resources Department.
Provides assistance to participants when necessary and whenever possible.
Reviews SAMS reports that are generated on a monthly basis from LCOA’s SAMS Coordinator pertaining to the Transportation Units, Homemaking Units, Information and Assistance Units, Respite Units, and Outreach Units.
Assists with contract renewals when called upon to do so by the Executive Director.
Maintains good work and public relations which includes demonstrating friendliness, warmth, and cooperation to participants, co-workers, and supervisors.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Associate’s Degree in a human service field
Two years of experience in management or related work experience
Must possess clearance of a criminal background check
Must possess clearance of a drug screen
Good driving record, current driver’s license, and valid auto insurance (minimum limits as required by law)
