Position Description:

  • CGI Inc. is seeking a production support engineer with proven technical experience in on-prem/cloud tech to join its Healthcare Practice
  • The candidate should demonstrate expertise and experience with ServiceNow and change management activities.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Production monitoring and triaging on issues per 24/7 shift support.
  • Monitor the performance of the database and ensure optimum performance.
  • Identify potential issues in the application to solve them early.
  • Look for automation opportunities/process automation for on time logging and alerting on issue.
  • Monitor security and prevent any unauthorized access to the application
  • Schedule consistent maintenance on the server
  • Resolve any production data issues
  • Role management
  • Develop automation technologies to accelerate the process of data loading.
  • Manage user access and permissions by adding and removing users as required.
  • Support implementation activities.


Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Over 7 years of experience in production support within a 24/7 shift model.
  • Extensive experience in handling production support tasks.


Technical Skills:

  •  Security: Strong understanding and experience in security protocols and practices.
  •  SQL/PLSQL: At least 5 years of experience with SQL and PLSQL.
  •  AWS: 3-5 years of experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Job Scheduling Tools: Proficient in using ESP, Control-M, and UC4 for job scheduling.


Tools and Platforms:

  • ServiceNow: Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and change management.
  •  Change Management: Awareness and experience in change management processes.


Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  •  Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.


Communication and Teamwork:

  •  Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  •  Team-oriented and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Methodologies:

  • Experience with Agile and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies.

  •  Ability to work with minimal documentation and guidance.
