The Payroll Administrator plays an important role by overseeing all payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. This role serves as a vital connection to employees, fostering trust while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. It plays a critical part in supporting employee satisfaction, retention, and overall organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll for multiple U.S. entities and biweekly payroll for Canada
  • Apply and maintain accurate payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, 401k, charitable contributions, and garnishments
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, including payroll changes and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Respond to employee questions related to pay statements, tax withholding, PTO, and payroll policies
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations to support audits, payroll tax balancing, and management requests
  • Partner with the HR team to process payroll-related changes for new hires, terminations, promotions, leave status updates, and other changes


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or relevant certification.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Payroll administration.
  • Analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures, tax laws, and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (preferably UKG or Oracle).
  • Experience implementing and migrating HRIS systems.
