The position of Metal Mold Engineering Machinist Apprentice is responsible for basic programming and operating a CNC Mill under the leadership of the Metal Mold Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Program CNC mills using MasterCam software
Operate CNC mills, manual lathes, and manual mills
Cut brass stock using a chop saw
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
Grind tools to create simple milling tools
Follow general safety protocols and proper use of machine shop equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Basic proficiency in using shop precision measuring tools
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in tasks
Excellent verbal communication skills within a team environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Solid understanding of basic mathematics
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
