In this role, the Merchandising Inventory Analyst will take a proactive approach to running and compiling data to provide actionable insight and drive effective inventory and pricing decisions.
This position will be immersed in product data, detailing sales performance, highlighting business drivers, opportunities, and key action plans.
Proficiency in excel and reporting tools is required along with a desire to work in a collaborative setting, exhibiting strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and publicize product performance analytics utilizing reporting systems such as MicroStrategy
Create standardized reporting mechanisms to be used by the Merchandising and Buying teams on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
Analyze results of new and existing products to drive additional sales and gross profit and optimizing turns and GMROI
Work closely with the Merchandising and Buying teams to drive inventory and buying decisions
Review stock status and make recommendations accordingly based on sales performance
Partner with the Merchandise Planning Team to implement new reporting mechanisms and streamline data usage that can be used cross-functionally
Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the product categories
Support marketing and sales campaigns through effective inventory management
Optimize pricing and margins based on product categories
Assist with markdown plans to exit inventory faster
Provide data-driven recommendations related to customers, products, and solutions to various departments such as Merchandising/Buying, Marketing, and Sales
Design ad-hoc reporting using data exports and Excel formulas related to product behavior and purchasing patterns
Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and semi-annual presentations
Collaborate with the Enterprise Analytics team to develop new dashboards and other reporting mechanisms
Present actionable information and insights clearly and effectively to various audiences
Assist in the evolution of Product Data attributes and metrics
Develop a business curiosity to continuously dig deeper
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years relevant work experience
Advanced in Excel including pivot tables and formulas
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and CoPilot
Ability to make decisions to achieve desired results
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Proactive and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be able to maintain composure and handle high stress situations
Negotiation, interpersonal and customer service skills
Drive for continuous improvement personally and professionally
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of basic Jewelry and/or Stone knowledge
