BackMerchandising Analyst Intern

The Merchandising Analyst Intern will take a proactive approach to running and compiling data to provide actionable insight and drive effective inventory and pricing decisions. This position will be immersed in product data, detailing sales performance, highlighting business drivers, opportunities, and key action plans. Experience with excel and reporting tools is preferred, but not required, along with a desire to work in a collaborative setting, exhibiting strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain an understanding of the product lifecycle from conceptual through initial buys, replenishment, and inventory management
- Perform and publicize product performance analytics utilizing reporting systems such as MicroStrategy
- Assist in the creation of standardized reporting mechanisms to be used by the Merchandising teams
- Analyze results of new and existing products and/or merchandising, marketing, and sales strategies
- Provide data-driven recommendations related to customers, products, and solutions
- Work closely with the Merchandising Planning Team to drive inventory and purchasing decisions
- Support marketing and sales campaigns through effective inventory management
- Design ad-hoc reporting using data exports and Excel formulas related to product behavior, purchasing patterns, and pricing
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Analytics team to develop new dashboards and other reporting mechanisms
- Present actionable information and insights clearly and effectively to various audiences
- Develop a business curiosity to continuously dig deeper
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- In pursuit of an undergraduate or master’s degree with interest in business analytics, management, or similar field
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CoPilot
- Ability to make decisions to achieve desired results
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proactive and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Drive for continuous improvement personally and professionally
This role requires candidates to have work authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
