We are seeking an experienced and creative Marketing & Design Specialist in Lafayette, LA who will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth by coordinating the design, creation, and execution of customer-facing and internal marketing initiatives. These initiatives will focus on promoting our company's industry-leading completion chemical products and services to key audiences, driving brand awareness and marketing innovative new products.
The Marketing & Design Specialist is a hands-on role for a strong graphic designer with an eye for detail. The position blends creative concept development with hands-on execution, requiring strong design judgment, technical capability, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and marketing-related vendors. This role is responsible for ensuring that everything DCS publishes is on-brand, technically credible, and consistent across every touchpoint.
Successful individuals in this role would have the ability to:
Content Creation & Design

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to create high-quality content (brochures, presentations, social media posts, website updates, press releases, etc.) that aligns with the company's brand and messaging.
Project Coordination & Execution

Lead the coordination, development, and execution of external marketing campaigns and initiatives across multiple channels, including digital and print.

Develop ideas to help keep content fresh, engaging, and dynamic.
Reporting & Analysis

Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports on performance and key metrics.
Brand Consistency
-
Adapt designs to align with business needs, budget, and brand requirements.

Ensure all marketing initiatives are aligned with DCS brand guidelines and positioning.
Other Duties
-
Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications:

- Must be authorized to work in the US
Must live within commutable distance to the office in Lafayette, LA. This is an in-person position.
- Must be flexible with schedule and work in-office as required by a standard workplace schedule
- Must submit an electronic or online portfolio with graphic design examples
Basic Requirements

Accredited four-year degree or technical college equivalent in applicable field of study and four years of work-related experience (oil and gas or industrial experience a plus)
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Technical proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of DCS products and services
- Able to work in a very fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and time management
- Able to organize, expedite, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or associate's degree in graphic design or equivalent field with 4 years of experience; or minimum of eight years of industry experience if non-degreed
- Proficiency in the full Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint and Word in a Windows environment
- Experience with Claude AI is a plus
- Experience in multimedia design for web/social media, video production, and editing
- Ability to organize, set up, and operate an onsite live photo/video shoot (fireside chat style); experience in lighting and audio is a plus
- Resourceful in finding fit-for-purpose solutions and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail and sense of ownership
- Displays professionalism when interacting with management in a deadline-driven environment
