What this job is all about:
- Your focus will be to arrange transportation for all domestic and international orders and communicate order status regularly to key stakeholders.
- You’ll also be responsible for obtaining necessary order documentation, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate sales order data.
In this job, you’ll do things like:
- Arrange all modes of transportation in a timely manner (includes ocean bookings through freight forwarders, drayage trucking, full truck loads, less than container loads and air)
- Handle shipment exceptions/issues and ensure problems are solved with a sense of urgency
- Communicate order status to all key stakeholders in an effective and timely way
- Ensure shipping documentations are issued accurately and in a timely manner (includes certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists and certificates of insurance)
- Maintain accurate sales order data throughout all systems (spreadsheet, database, etc.)
- Work closely with internal departments to collect data and manage production and booking status
- Verify and approve invoices for payment in related areas: Warehouse, Storage/Handling, Truck loads, Secondary freight, etc.

Qualifications:

- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong project management skills
