What this job is all about:

  • Your focus will be to arrange transportation for all domestic and international orders and communicate order status regularly to key stakeholders.
  • You’ll also be responsible for obtaining necessary order documentation, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate sales order data. 


In this job, you’ll do things like:

  • Arrange all modes of transportation in a timely manner (includes ocean bookings through freight forwarders, drayage trucking, full truck loads, less than container loads and air)
  • Handle shipment exceptions/issues and ensure problems are solved with a sense of urgency 
  • Communicate order status to all key stakeholders in an effective and timely way 
  • Ensure shipping documentations are issued accurately and in a timely manner (includes certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists and certificates of insurance)
  • Maintain accurate sales order data throughout all systems (spreadsheet, database, etc.) 
  • Work closely with internal departments to collect data and manage production and booking status
  • Verify and approve invoices for payment in related areas: Warehouse, Storage/Handling, Truck loads, Secondary freight, etc.

Qualifications:

Must-haves to apply for this job:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong project management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2+ years work experience in a transportation/logistics environment
