Position Description:

  • CGI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Life Insurance Process Analyst with a strong background in Life Insurance operations.
  • The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Life and Annuity back-office functions including policy issuance, policy servicing, claims, premium application and disbursements.
  • Additional exposure to mailroom and contact center operations a plus.
  • Experience either as an employee of an insurance carrier or multiple projects as a consultant required.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to apply their Life/Annuity product expertise to solve complex and challenging problems and contribute to the growth of the CGI Life/Annuity practice.
  • This role is based in our CGI Office in Hartford, CT, New Brunswick NJ, Plymouth Meeting, NY, NY, and Lafayette, LA in a Hybrid Model.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis of Life and Annuity operations including processes, staffing/organization, performance metrics, etc.
  • Document/clarify business rules and process flows.
  • Identify opportunities to rationalize, automate, and improve operations.
  • Create executive-level deliverables including reports and presentations with recommendations and justifications.
  • Support IT teams in identifying automation and other systems-related opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • At least 5 years hands-on experience with Life/Annuity operations.
  • Demonstrated experience generating written materials such as Standard Operating Procedures, Performance Reports, Process documentation, etc. .
  • Prior experience as an employee of an insurance carrier and/or multiple projects as a consultant
  • Formal training in processes improvement including six sigma, lean, etc. desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Professional credentials (FLMI, ALMI, ICA) are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team


Desired Skills:

  • Additional exposure to mailroom and contact center operations a plus.
