Description

  • As a Lean Manufacturing Intern, you will analyze data, map workflows, and collaborate on lean manufacturing initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and foster continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, using statistical tools to interpret data and provide actionable insights. 
  • Create detailed process maps to document current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and highlight inefficiencies in existing processes. 
  • Collaborate with the Process Improvement Manager to propose and develop plans for process enhancements, including the design and implementation of lean manufacturing techniques. 
  • Participate in the execution of process improvement initiatives, monitor their progress, and report on outcomes. 
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste. 
  • Maintain thorough documentation of processes, improvements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring all changes are accurately recorded and communicated to stakeholders. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for process changes. 


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. 
  • Familiarity with process improvement tools and methodologies. 
  • Experience with process mapping and statistical analysis. 
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and techniques to drive continuous improvement.
