BackJunior Angular Developer

Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a motivated Junior Angular Developer to support a key DOJ program. The developer will help deliver new features and enhancements to a high visibility federal web financial and acquisition application, working closely with senior developers and technical leads.
This position is located in our Lafayette LA or in our Fairfax VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Develop User Interface (UI) components and features using Angular under senior developer guidance
- Translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive, accessible code
- Assist in building reusable modules and shared libraries
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding patterns
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate REST APIs
- Conduct unit testing and defect resolution
- Apply basic performance and accessibility improvements (Section 508)
- Learn federal development best practices and secure coding standards
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Meets LCAT requirement: Bachelor's degree + 6 years of relevant experience
- 1–3+ years direct Angular development experience (Angular 2+ required)
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
- Basic understanding of RxJS and asynchronous programming
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub or equivalent source control tools
- Strong desire to grow within a modern federal development environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
- Exposure to SASS/LESS or other CSS precompilers
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks
- Experience supporting a federal or regulated agency
- Familiarity with RESTful API consumption
