Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a motivated Junior Angular Developer to support a key DOJ program. The developer will help deliver new features and enhancements to a high visibility federal web financial and acquisition application, working closely with senior developers and technical leads.

This position is located in our Lafayette LA or in our Fairfax VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop User Interface (UI) components and features using Angular under senior developer guidance
  • Translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive, accessible code
  • Assist in building reusable modules and shared libraries
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding patterns
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate REST APIs
  • Conduct unit testing and defect resolution
  • Apply basic performance and accessibility improvements (Section 508)
  • Learn federal development best practices and secure coding standards


Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Meets LCAT requirement: Bachelor's degree + 6 years of relevant experience
  • 1–3+ years direct Angular development experience (Angular 2+ required)
  • Working knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
  • Basic understanding of RxJS and asynchronous programming
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub or equivalent source control tools
  • Strong desire to grow within a modern federal development environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • Exposure to SASS/LESS or other CSS precompilers
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks
  • Experience supporting a federal or regulated agency
  • Familiarity with RESTful API consumption
