Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Procurement Strategy:
    • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Fine Jewelry, Bridal and other jewelry components to support business objectives.
    • Work directly with Merchant teams to understand trends and new product strategy to ensure vendors are bringing potent product to the market.  
    • Identify and evaluate new suppliers globally to ensure competitive pricing, quality, speed to market and strong partnerships.
    • Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and industry innovations to drive cost savings and strategic advantages.
    • Optimize vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and trading partners.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve the best value while maintaining quality and lead time standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, design, production, merchandising) to align sourcing with business needs.
  • Cost & Risk Management:
    • Analyze and manage sourcing costs, including price fluctuations in gold, diamonds, and gemstones.
    • Develop contingency plans to ensure supply chain resilience.
  • Operational & Process Improvement:
    • Improve speed to market on vendor items by developing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and ensure quality standards are met.
    • Leverage data analytics and supplier performance metrics to optimize sourcing decisions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop new standards when onboarding new vendors and products. 


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field or 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of precious metals, diamonds, colored gemstones, and jewelry manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with ethical sourcing standards and sustainability initiatives in the jewelry sector.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and data analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in the jewelry industry
