Product Design and Development leverages decades of expertise in CAD and 3D rendering, metal mold engineering, master models, and rubber molds to create the high-quality products our customers expect.
The Jewelry Design Intern will be a student-level jewelry designer or jeweler with a strong interest in learning more about the jewelry-making process.
Throughout the internship, they will contribute to a variety of tasks across departments, gaining broad exposure and valuable skills to support their career growth in the jewelry industry.
As part of the internship, the student will have the unique opportunity to design and manufacture a piece of jewelry at Stuller, which they can add to their portfolio.
The Jewelry Design Intern will have a rotating daily schedule to assist across the division, working in focused areas such as Model making, Conceptual design, CAD design and Workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will have an expectation of fulfilling 40 hours a week.
Shadow various positions within Product Design & Development to learn about Stuller's processes and procedures in manufacturing jewelry.
Contribute to the department by fulfilling various tasks as requested, which encompass but are not limited to, sketching, CAD work, light bench work, resin prepping, sample running, board creation, light organizational work.
Tasks will be assigned based on individual skill set and interests of intern; and based on departmental needs.
Portfolio piece will be created within a similar design process to how a concept gets created into a sale-able item at Stuller, as a mimic to the design process in the company.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in a related field, junior or senior level preferred.
Detail oriented and creative thinking skills
Hand drawing ability and basic bench skills
Basic Microsoft office skills, and general email etiquette
Ability to problem solve and follow directions, and work well with a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess strong organizational habits and a willingness to learn
