What does this job entail? 

The Construction Inspector is responsible for inspecting roadway improvements on DOTD highways to ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications, preparing and maintaining daily reports and quantity calculations.

Qualifications:

Am I qualified for the position? 

• Formal education in a construction inspection curriculum OR 6-10 years of experience directly related to construction inspection.
• Must have knowledge and familiarity in dealing with DOTD municipalities, contractors, utility companies, etc. 
• DOTD certifications in Embankment & Base Course, Asphalt Concrete Paving, and Portland Cement Contract Paving preferred. 
• ATSSA Traffic Control/Technician (TCT) and Flagger Certifications preferred. 
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. 
• Proficient in using computer software
