The HR Coordinator – Recruiting & Onboarding is primarily responsible for managing and executing the full life cycle recruiting and onboarding process for open positions across the organization. This role reports to the HR Manager and performs all aspects of recruiting while ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, including facilitating orientation, preparing materials, and supporting employees through their first days. This position plays a key role in helping the organization attract, hire, and retain top talent while fostering a positive employee experience from day one.

 

In this job, you’ll do things like:

  • Responsible for facilitating the full life cycle recruiting process for assigned positions to attract and retain top talent, following a prescribed recruitment process. This includes guiding the hiring manager and candidate through the offer and onboarding experience including but not limited to: 
    1. Sourcing candidates through both active and passive methods 
    2. Screening resumes to ensure they meet minimum requirements 
    3. Interviewing candidates to determine suitability for moving forward in the process 
    4. Scheduling interviews 
    5. Conducting debriefs with the hiring manager and Chief Culture Officer 
    6. Recommending salary offers based on research and the candidate’s experience  
    7. Writing offer letters and extending the offer to selected candidates
  • Collaborate with and conducts planning meetings with the hiring manager to understand skills and competencies required for open positions and to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria prior to posting.
  • Welcome newly hired employees and execute the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey and manage the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to expand the company’s reputation and employment brand to attract talent from critical recruitment sources.  Build relationships with universities, technical schools and high schools, attend career fairs, etc.
  • Responsible for managing the annual internship program, partner with departments to understand needs, interview students and ensure a positive experience for intern and manager

Qualifications:

Must-haves to apply for this job:

  • BA in business administration, human resources, industrial relations and/or 4+ years of equivalent business experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Recruiter successfully sourcing both professional and hourly roles for a mid-sized or large organization. 
  • Ability to multi-task and discern priorities in a fast-paced role that requires organization, focus, and the ability to support our internal customers.
  • Prioritize and manage workload to meet critical deadlines
  • Knowledge of HR rules, regulations, and applicable laws.

What will give you an edge:

  • Experience working in consumer products, food service, or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience developing and implementing HR processes, programs, and initiatives.
  • Experience working closely with leaders to develop and implement HR solutions.
  • Experience using data to evaluate HR-related needs and program effectiveness.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
