Position Description:
- CGI Federal is currently seeking a Frontend Developer to meet needs of a Content Management System.
- This project is a multi-year initiative to modernize the technology, infrastructure, design, and software used by Legislative Branch customers to author, create, review, manage, publish, and distribute content to both government clients and the public.
- This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- The Frontend Developer must use modern techniques and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks like LESS and SASS, Responsive Design, Bourbon, Twitter Bootstrap).
- JavaScript development using modern standards, including strict mode compliance, modularization techniques and tools, and frameworks and libraries (e.g., jQuery, MV
- frameworks such as Backbone.js and Ember.js, D3). Consume RESTful APIs.
- Use and work in team environments that use agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Lean).
- Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub. Ensure Section 508 Compliance.
- Use and work with open-source solutions and community.
- Create web layouts from static images. Create views and templates in fullstack frameworks like Rails, Express, or Django.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Obtain Public Trust Clearance
- 5+yrs of experience with M365, Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, etc.), SharePoint Online (SPO), Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps and Git, RESTful services and WCF, C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API and .NET Core, JavaScript/ jQuery/ Power Shell Script, Angular v6 or higher. Toad (or Oracle SQL Developer); or equivalent.
- 5+yrs of experience and expertise evaluating designs, code, and products for accessibility throughout an Agile software development lifecycle.
- Effectively communicate findings and remediation recommendations.
- Proficient with automated accessibility testing tools such as axeDev, Wave, Lighthouse. Proficient with manual accessibility testing, including use of JAWS, NVDA, and other screen reader tools..
