Join our Supply Chain Operations team — manage inventory, procurement, logistics, and more — and help drive efficiency, cost savings, and seamless delivery of quality products. The Procurement team strategically manages our acquisition of goods, services, and raw materials to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality. We go beyond transactional purchasing to drive value through vendor relationships.

The Director of Production Planning oversees manufacturing output across both manufacturing campuses located in Lafayette, LA and Merida, Mexico, and is accountable for aligning production plans with customer demand, inventory strategy, and operational capacity to achieve service, efficiency, and schedule performance goals. This role partners closely with Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, Merchandising, and other cross-functional teams to deliver strong business results. The ideal candidate is a people-centered leader who is approachable and thoughtful, builds clarity and trust, and balances strategic thinking with operational discipline. They are comfortable being accountable for both team leadership and business outcomes while fostering strong cross-functional partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the Production Planning function across manufacturing locations to support customer demand, inventory goals, and operational priorities.
  • Develop and maintain production plans that balance demand, inventory strategy, and available capacity to achieve service and schedule performance goals.
  • Analyze demand trends and planning data to improve forecast accuracy, inventory health, and production efficiency.
  • Identify risks that could impact product availability, production flow, or inventory performance and lead actions to reduce disruption.
  • Communicate demand, capacity constraints, and planning risks to cross-functional partners to support timely, informed decision-making.
  • Drive improvements to planning processes that reduce cost, improve lead times, and strengthen execution performance.
  • Establish and track performance metrics related to service levels, inventory performance, and schedule attainment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members while building a high-performing, accountable team culture.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
  • Understanding of statistical modeling applied to forecasting
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing master data (BOMs, routings, costing)
  • Experience in supply chain, production planning, inventory management, merchandising, finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with disciplined day-to-day execution
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, coach, and develop others
  • Results-oriented, self-directed, and able to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading and developing strong teams in a similar field
  • Experience working with ERP systems
