We’re seeking a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic ACT team on a high-profile CISA cybersecurity program. This role is perfect for a motivated self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments. You’ll help strengthen the cybersecurity posture of civilian government agencies by enhancing network monitoring tools, mitigating risks, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to solve complex challenges.
This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a skilled team to design and implement next-generation security solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor and technical leader, driving growth and innovation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity tools and processes.
- Design and integrate multi-vendor security solutions for large networks.
- Perform IT functions including analysis, evaluation, and implementation of security solutions.
- Partner with Service Delivery Managers to prioritize tasks and maintain documentation.
- Provide hands-on technical support for system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Engage with agency technical specialists and vendors to resolve security gaps.
- Prepare technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
Salary Range: $100,800.00 - $245,500.00.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3–8 years of experience (or 4+ years without a degree).
- Strong collaboration skills with network and operations teams.
- Familiarity with network traffic monitoring tools (packet capture, inspection).
- Basic knowledge of networking, firewalls, and cloud environments.
Desired qualifications:
- Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance (NIST SP 800-37, NIST 800-137).
- Experience with NDR tools and policy configuration.
- Proficiency with cybersecurity tools and architecture design.
- Basic programming knowledge and Agile development experience.
- Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exposure to DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program.
