AWS Data Engineer (Python/SQL/AWS)

Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a AWS Data Engineer (Python/SQL/AWS) to join our team to join our team.
While this position must be located within a commutable distance to a US CGI office (in CT or ET), a hybrid working model is acceptable (preference given to those in the Lafayette, LA, Reston, VA or Plano, TX area).
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design and develop various on-going projects for migrating on-premises applications to the AWS Cloud.
Working with Architecture team for design and implementation of Web based applications.
Guide other teams to design, develop, and deploy data sets and tools that support product use cases.
Will be supporting DevOps and other PROD support teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

7+ years of Python (Pyspark / AWS SDK Libraries)
Strong SQL development experience
Data API's - for data extraction. Experience with building RESTful Web Services will be plus
5+ years of experience in building and deploying applications in AWS
AWS serverless services (Lambda, SNS, SQS) - Step function/ECS is good to have
AWS Data warehousing (Redshift) or similar services. (snowflake good to have)
AWS ETL services (Glue)
AWS Storage services (S3)
AWS infra as code technologies - terraform/gitlab/CFTs
Testing and debugging experience on AWS
AWS SDK libraries for automation will be a plus.
