Job Requirements

 ASH’s automation team drives efficient, reliable production by developing, programming, and maintaining automation systems and EOAT. This role combines hands-on technical work with process optimization to reduce manual operations, improve throughput, and ensure consistent product quality. Collaborating with production and engineering teams, the position involves troubleshooting issues, implementing improvements, managing equipment and inventory, and researching new technologies. It also builds internal capability by creating training materials and advancing ASH’s automation systems, strengthening manufacturing operations and ensuring processes run safely and effectively.

• Ensure EOAT is assembled correctly and with the correct components for each Job.
• Update job-specific documentation to include automation requirements.
• Program each automation process with minimal added cycle time.
• Minimize as many secondary operation/inspection with the use of in-process automation
• Follow procedures as assigned.
• Designing/Fabricating each automation process with the appropriate tools for each job
• Ensure each program is written in an efficient manner
• Organize, Inventory, and maintain the automation area on the production floor
• Assisting in resolving any issues that should arise involving automation in a timely manner
• Manage all inventory and supplies needed for each automation equipment and EOAT
• Maintain/repair automation equipment and EOAT as needed
• Complete an investigation and provide a purchase requisition for any automation needs
• Attend GGOB Department Meetings
• Assist production with any and all Automation setups and expansions
• Continuing education for automation
• Develop training documents for automation technicians and production staff
• Continually research new equipment and processes for ASH to potentially utiliz
