L3Harris is seeking an Associate Manager of Engineering Services as it continues to develop and establish a foothold in the rapidly growing market space for autonomous surface vessels.
The role will be based out of L3Harris location in Broussard, Louisiana.
Essential Functions:
Working with Program Managers to establish plans and schedules necessary to meet production goals for delivery objectives
Daily coordination and direction of the work activities of Production Assembly and Test personnel
Monitor and report on the efficiency and quality of Production personnel's job performance
Collaborate with QA/QC in the creation and implementation of controlled production processes that focus on repeatability, accountability, and reduction of time waste
Review, approve, and print designs for manufacturability
Coordinate the development of work instructions, routing templates and assembly procedures
Identify and arrange for necessary training required for personnel to meet Production needs
Conduct annual performance reviews to provide management with necessary information for wage administration, promotion and disciplinary action
Collaborate with management and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve problems and suggest improvements with materials, process and/or documentation
Maintain L3Harris standards with direct reports for trainings, safety meetings, and time sheet approval for accuracy in timekeeping and project charge allocation.
Recognize and cultivate strengths of employees to utilize and maximize their potential for the overall benefit of the team.

Compile, collect, and report production related KPI data in timely manner.

Candidate should be able to comfortably lift up to 32 lbs.
Must be a United States Citizen and able to obtain a Security Clearance if required
Must be able to speak, read and write the English language

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years supervisory experience (preferred) and a basic understanding of marine electronics
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior relavant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Basic to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office software packages such as Word, Excel and Project
Basic understanding of doing business with the U.S. Government and associated FAR and DFAR regulations as they apply to products and services
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills for providing direction to assigned staff
Candidate will be required to learn SAP ERP software and associated reporting tools to manage production
Knowledge in fabrication and assembly compliant to OSHA 1926 and 1915
Experience with (or understanding) electrical assembly compliant to IPC/WHMA-A-620D and IPC-A-610
Facilities management experience a major plus
U.S. Citizenship required. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs/ladders to complete tasks
