Advanced Cloud Protection (ACP) Engineer

@ CGI

Position Description:

Ready to take your career to the next level? Join one of the world’s top 5 global IT companies and become part of a team that thrives on innovation and collaboration. At CGI, we don’t just offer jobs—we offer careers where you can grow, lead, and make an impact. With a presence in 40 countries and a network of 90,000 members strong, CGI gives you the unique opportunity to be a shareholder and truly own your future.

We’re looking for an Advanced Cloud Protection (ACP) Engineer to join our high-performing Federal team on an enterprise cybersecurity initiative supporting the DHS CDM DEFEND program.

The Impact You'll Make

You will be at the forefront of delivering a new cloud security service to more than 50 federal agencies. Operating as a managed service, agencies will rely on you for expert guidance in integrating advanced cloud protection into their environments, implementing security best practices, and enhancing visibility, detection, and response capabilities. Your work will directly strengthen the security posture of critical government infrastructure.

Your Growth Path

You'll join a team of respected cybersecurity subject matter experts who lead initiatives across identity, host, network, and application security domains. Your insights into cloud security, Zero Trust maturity, and cross-domain security integration will directly influence agency security strategies. We value cost-effective solutions that maximize existing investments—your ability to architect integrated, efficient security approaches will be highly valued and will position you as a trusted advisor to both internal leadership and federal clients.

Your Team and Collaboration Model

You'll work closely with our Cloud Security Architect and the broader architecture team, including VP-level management. You will be trusted to independently represent the company in technical discussions, author documentation for agency review, and respond directly to federal program managers or technical staff. This role balances independent execution with collaborative problem-solving—you'll have the autonomy to drive solutions while being supported by deep expertise across security domains.

Your Authority and Autonomy

You will be trusted to work independently. Your well-researched, validated recommendations will carry weight and be incorporated into final approved solutions presented to agencies. You'll have the authority to make technical decisions within the scope of your domain expertise and will be expected to bring informed perspectives to architecture discussions that shape our service delivery.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
