Accounting Internship:

  • This paid internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. 
  • The intern will receive on the-job training while working closely with the Accounting and Administrative team on a variety of tasks. 
  • They will also get the benefit of learning the essential functions of accounting software.


Specific duties include, but are not limited to assisting with the following:

  • Semi-monthly processing of bills, expense reports, and timesheets.
  • Preparing monthly financial statements and budget reports.
  • Preparing deposits and transfers, monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts, and any other required accounting reports requested.
  • Communicating with vendors to complete payments.
  • Testing, editing, and creating departmental procedures.
  • Processing federal and state grant reports and associated documentation.
  • Participating in an organizational budgeting process.
  • Maintaining records and files.
  • Participating in other special projects associated with the mission of LEDA.


Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented with good communication skills
  • Professional with execellent organizational abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Bonus: Completion of governmental accounting course


Requirements:

  • The internship requires a minimum of a one-year commitment and the intern must be
  • enrolled in post-secondary education courses as an Accounting Major for at least the
  • Spring and Fall semester of that year. The intern must be able to work 20 hours per
  • week (flexible schedule) and have reliable transportation.
