Accounting Internship:
- This paid internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- The intern will receive on the-job training while working closely with the Accounting and Administrative team on a variety of tasks.
- They will also get the benefit of learning the essential functions of accounting software.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to assisting with the following:
- Semi-monthly processing of bills, expense reports, and timesheets.
- Preparing monthly financial statements and budget reports.
- Preparing deposits and transfers, monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts, and any other required accounting reports requested.
- Communicating with vendors to complete payments.
- Testing, editing, and creating departmental procedures.
- Processing federal and state grant reports and associated documentation.
- Participating in an organizational budgeting process.
- Maintaining records and files.
- Participating in other special projects associated with the mission of LEDA.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with good communication skills
- Professional with execellent organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Bonus: Completion of governmental accounting course
Requirements:
- The internship requires a minimum of a one-year commitment and the intern must be
- enrolled in post-secondary education courses as an Accounting Major for at least the
- Spring and Fall semester of that year. The intern must be able to work 20 hours per
- week (flexible schedule) and have reliable transportation.
