Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to develop, enhance, integrate, and support complex Salesforce applications within a large-scale financial services environment. This role will work closely with business and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.

This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Birmingham, AL

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Senior Salesforce Developer will perform hands-on development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs, while supporting integrations with enterprise and third-party systems. Responsibilities include technical analysis, development, unit testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, and defect resolution throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in complex Salesforce environments and a strong understanding of platform security, governor limits, integration patterns, and development best practices. The role requires the ability to work independently, contribute across multiple Agile initiatives, and consistently deliver well-tested, documented, high-quality code.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, governor limits, security, standard data models, configuration, and automation.
• Experience developing and consuming REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs, including integrations between Salesforce and third-party or enterprise applications.
• Experience with OAuth and common Salesforce integration and authentication patterns.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, particularly for Lightning and Visualforce development.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Salesforce DX (SFDX).
• Experience developing and supporting applications within complex, multi-project Salesforce environments.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong unit-testing practices, including writing maintainable code, achieving appropriate test coverage, troubleshooting defects, and conducting peer code reviews.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce administration, including security, validation rules, workflows, and process automation.
• Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams and iterative SDLC environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and provide technical leadership when needed.
• Experience working in a highly regulated or financial services environment is beneficial.
• Exposure to AWS-integrated enterprise environments is a plus.

Desired Skillset:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or Platform Developer II certification preferred. Additional Salesforce integration, JavaScript, or application/system architecture certifications are beneficial.

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
