Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex technology initiatives within a large-scale financial services environment. This role is responsible for managing one or more technical workstreams, coordinating cross functional teams, tracking dependencies and deliverables, and ensuring projects are completed on time and meet business and client expectations.

The Technical Program Manager will work closely with senior leadership, technical teams, and key stakeholders to manage project plans, risks, issues, budgets, and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle. The role requires strong technical fluency, particularly in AWS based environments, along with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear project decisions and executive level communications.

This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC, Birmingham, AL

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead complex technical programs and project workstreams from planning through delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, resource needs, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate engineering, cloud, infrastructure, application, and other technical teams in an AWS heavy environment.
• Track project risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies and drive them through resolution.
• Manage program/project costs and provide visibility into budget and resource impacts.
• Prepare and present status updates, risks, issues, and recommendations to senior management.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong working relationships across business and technology teams.
• Ensure interim and final deliverables meet agreed upon timelines, quality standards, and project objectives.
• Facilitate communication and decision making across multiple teams and workstreams.
• Resolve or escalate complex technical and delivery issues that could affect program outcomes.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years of technical program and project management experience leading large, complex IT initiatives.
• Hands on experience managing programs or projects involving AWS cloud environments and cloud based technology teams.
• Strong project planning and scheduling skills, including experience with Microsoft Project or comparable project management tools.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams, dependencies, milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Solid understanding of project/program financials, including lifecycle costs, budgets, and resource planning.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers and other technical professionals and understand complex technical issues without needing to be the hands on technical lead.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with experience providing program status and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver complex projects on schedule.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
• Experience working in financial services, banking, mortgage finance, or another highly regulated environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow through.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross functional technical teams in a matrixed environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. AWS certification may be beneficial.
