What this job is all about:

Responsible for leading day-to-day restaurant operations while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, food quality, service standards, and operational efficiency. Supervises restaurant staff, supports employee development, and assists restaurant leadership with staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and operational coordination. Serves as a key operational leader by promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive dining experience consistent with the TABASCO® Brand and Avery Island hospitality standards.

In this job, you’ll do things like:

  • Supervise, train, and support restaurant staff to ensure operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, safe, and collaborative work environment by reinforcing company values and expectations.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and development of restaurant employees.
  • Assist with staffing activities, scheduling, and daily workforce coordination.
  • Lead daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional guest service, food quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure menu items are prepared, presented, and served according to established quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and special requests to promote a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of McIlhenny Company, TABASCO® Brand history, and Avery Island operations to enhance guest interactions.
  • Support special events, corporate hospitality functions, and other guest experience initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist with inventory management activities to ensure adequate product and supply levels are maintained.
  • Support purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and product deliveries as assigned.
  • Monitor product usage and communicate inventory needs to restaurant leadership.
  • Assist with menu implementation, promotional activities, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate recommendations to restaurant leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure employees follow established safety procedures.
  • Maintain restaurant facilities, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and professional condition.

Qualifications:

Must-haves to apply for this job:

  • Experience in restaurant, culinary, hospitality, or food service operations.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing food in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Experience leading, training, or directing employees in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Experience supporting restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, food preparation, or customer service activities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.

What will give you an edge:

  • 2+ years of experience in restaurant, culinary, hospitality, or food service operations.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or food service environment.
  • Current ServSafe Certification.
  • Experience with Micros or similar point-of-sale systems.
  • Experience training, coaching, and developing restaurant employees.
  • Experience supporting special events, catering operations, corporate hospitality functions, or guest experience initiatives.
