Duties

• Prepare surfaces meticulously by sanding, scraping, drywall patching/mudding, puttying, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and smooth finishes
• Apply paints and stains using brushes, rollers, and airless spray guns, ensuring even coverage on various surfaces including drywall, doors, windows, cabinets, stucco, masonry, concrete, and metal
• Safe use of ladders and scaffolding 

Salary Range: $20-$30/ hour

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in residential or commercial painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, and rollers for various applications
• Valid ladder use skills for working at heights safely on scaffolding or ladders
• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Must be professional in appearance and communication 
• Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to job sites - mostly in Lafayette Parish but also some work in surrounding parishes.

Additional skills preferred but not required:

• Taping and mudding drywall joints 
• Ability to use boom lifts and scissor lifts
