This role is responsible for preparing, sandblasting, and painting industrial equipment including pumps, generators, trailers, and fabricated assemblies. This position plays a key role in refurbishing incoming equipment, preparing new builds, and ensuring all equipment leaving the shop meets Coastal’s quality and durability standards. The ideal candidate will have experience operating sandblasting equipment, applying industrial coatings, and preparing surfaces for long-lasting protection in demanding field environments. This role requires attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently within an active equipment fabrication and service shop.

Salary Range: $22.00-$26.00

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in industrial painting, sandblasting, or equipment refinishing.
• Experience operating sandblasting equipment and industrial spray systems.
• Familiarity with epoxy, urethane, and industrial protective coatings.
• Experience preparing metal surfaces for coating including rust removal and surface preparation.
• Ability to operate grinders, sanders, blasting cabinets, and spray guns.
• Understanding of coating thickness, curing times, and proper finishing techniques.
• Ability to work safely with coatings, chemicals, and compressed air systems.
• Experience working in fabrication, heavy equipment, industrial, or oilfield environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to operate forklift, lift equipment components and work in a shop environment.
