H2O, LLC, is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Lafayette, Louisiana. The Field Service Engineer position serves as a technical expert on H2O equipment and provides field technical support to customers.
The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in electrical systems, complemented by mechanical aptitude, and can support sophisticated wastewater treatment systems. Additionally, you must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support clients, conduct installations, and perform maintenance on water treatment systems. Flexibility and adaptability to varying schedules and time zones are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead equipment commissioning, coordinating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Provides customer service and technical support remotely or on-site, traveling to locations around the globe. Ensure equipment is fully operational, safe, and reliable following service,
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, communication, instrumentation, and control issues using schematics, diagrams, P&IDs, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, serial protocols, and HART communicators.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, including transmitters, sensors, and related electrical equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, including pumps, blowers, membrane-actuated valves, filters, and piping systems.
- Modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems, ladder logic, function blocks, structured text code, and HMI systems.
- Deliver tailored onsite training focused on equipment operation and preventive maintenance.
- Conduct detailed post-shipment inspections to confirm equipment integrity before installation.
- Prepare detailed service reports and documentation for all completed work.
- Build and maintain expert-level knowledge of seawater reverse osmosis and electro chlorination systems, including a comprehensive understanding of all associated mechanical, electrical, and control components.

Qualifications:
- Technical education or experience in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering.
- Proven experience commissioning and servicing industrial equipment.
- Valid offshore work certifications (e.g., HUET/BOSIET, OGUK medical, TWIC)
- Valid passport and eligibility to obtain necessary international travel visas.
