Located on 14.7 acres at Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT), this aerospace/aviation manufacturing and final assembly facility also houses office and meeting spaces. The $25 million facility, owned by the Lafayette Airport Commission, offers many fabrication and delivery options.
At 129,000 sq. ft., the new terminal at Lafayette Regional Airport is more than twice as large as the existing terminal. The terminal has five boarding gates with room to add two more. In addition to the terminal, the project includes a new remote transmitter/receiver (RTR) facility, an expanded parking lot, a consolidated rental car facility, concessions on both sides of the security gates, and an advanced baggage handling system.
UL Lafayette has achieved the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Learning’s elite R1 designation. This places UL Lafayette among the nation’s top tier of public and private research institutions, those with “very high research activity,” according to Carnegie. R1 status is synonymous with academic excellence, research, innovation and global impact.
Lafayette Parish is home to seven Certified Sites that have undergone an extensive review process, which includes everything from environmental studies, soil analyses and surveys to zoning restrictions and authenticity documentation. This due diligence ensures that all aspects of the site meet compliance regulations, ultimately delivering a property primed for development.
