Position Description:

• We are seeking a talented Front-End UI/UX Developer to join our dynamic Emerging Technologies Practice.
• In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and experiences for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborating closely with designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders, you will create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces that enhance user engagement.
• As a Front-End UI/UX Developer, you will play a crucial role in implementing front-end solutions using modern technologies like React and Angular, with a focus on mobile-first concepts.
• This position's preferred location is Lafayette, LA, Lebanon, VA, Belton, TX, Knoxville, TN or Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with back-end developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Implement front-end development on a cross-functional Agile team
• Ensure seamless functionality and optimal user experience across different platforms, with a mobile-first approach.
• Work on responsive design and implement best practices for delivering a consistent user experience across devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in front-end development and UI/UX design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to front-end development.
• Ensure that the UI is accessible (508) compliant.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
• Experience with SASS.
• Experience with front-end build processes.
• Knowledge of TypeScript.
• Knowledge of frameworks like Bootstrap and Material.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with mobile-first concepts and responsive design.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of an agile team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and techniques.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with back-end systems.
• Knowledge of UI testing frameworks and tools.
• Proficiency with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• An understanding of Agile software development, like Scrum or Kanban
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years as an experienced UI/UX front-end developer
