Our Traditional Manufacturing team refines jewelry using tools and machinery, ensuring quality through precise assembly, polishing, and inspection.
The Traditional Manufacturing Manager's primary role is to guide their teams in producing the highest quality products efficiently and cost-effectively, under the leadership of the Sr Director of Wax-CAM Operations and Traditional Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote "Lean" initiatives and methodologies among all team members.
Ensure team members have the necessary equipment and supplies to complete their tasks.
Oversee timely start-up and shutdown of operations at the beginning and end of shifts, including after breaks.
Distribute work assignments and monitor the quality and efficiency of team output.
Manage daily payroll exceptions and maintain the monthly attendance calendar, providing updates to Coordinators as needed.
Oversee new product and repair product test batches.
Provide performance coaching to team members at regular intervals.
Coordinate cross-training for team members in additional job functions as workload demands.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proficiency in tasks requiring manual dexterity and close-range detail observation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel
Patience and open-mindedness.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of LEAN manufacturing and/or the Shingo Model
Knowledge of jewelry and jewelry manufacturing processes
