The Stone Setting Metal Smith must be able to perform task while maintaining 80% efficiency in any one skill set, Precision Assembler, Precision Fitter, or Precision Polisher.

Precision Assembler:
Achieve 80% efficiency with 3% or lower touch-ups and recasts.
Operate a Hydro-Flux torch proficiently.
Set gauges to the correct amount of solder.
Exhibit good heat control.
Use a mini torch for fine detailed soldering.
Operate a laser proficiently.
Repair metal defects using laser wire.
Tack parts together using a laser prior to assembling with a torch.
Operate the mx wheel proficiently and detail the wheel to specific job functions.
Prepare pieces to the highest quality possible.
Operate the air dine to remove spruing.
Operate the paste injector proficiently and identify the correct paste solder.
Use the Joyal Tacker proficiently and set it for each piece, modifying probes as needed.
Use all handheld tools and Flex-Shaft tools proficiently.
Precision Finisher:
Achieve 80% efficiency with 3% or lower touch-ups and recasts.
Operate the Lap Machine proficiently, bringing pieces to a high polish.
Know all rouge used for pieces and detail wheels for specific job functions.
Use the buffer proficiently to polish pieces to high quality standards.
Operate stamping machines and hand stamps proficiently, and know all stamping tools.
Polish inside rings to a final machine finish.
Operate the inside machine proficiently.
Precision Fitter:
Achieve 80% efficiency with 3% or lower touch-ups and recasts.
Operate the Belt Sander proficiently.
Use the MX wheel proficiently and detail the wheel for specific job functions.
Prepare pieces to the highest quality possible.
Perform round out/rotary file tasks proficiently.
Use rubber wheels to achieve very good quality.
Operate the Inside Sander proficiently to sand the inside of rings.
Use all flex-shaft and handheld tools proficiently.
