Position Description:

• CGI is at the forefront of innovation, and our Linux infrastructure plays a pivotal role in driving our success.
• We're looking for a seasoned professional like yourself to help lead our Linux administration efforts, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems.
• This position requires strong knowledge of RHEL 7-8, with experience in STIG hardening and Ansible.
• This position is located in our Lafayette, LA, Lebanon, VA, Belton, TX, Knoxville, TN or Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support the Linux environment for the database team.
• Development of user documentation and guidelines.
• Development of presentation material.
• Investigate, collaborate, and resolve production jobs and job failures.
• Support weekend maintenance activities to apply changes during non-peak hours.
• Provide input to continuous improvement of Linux Administration and Support.
• Implement STIG hardening standard for required systems.
• Utilize Ansible to manage client machines and automate processes.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Proficiency in Linux Patching/upgrading.
• Proficiency with Linux commands and shell scripting
• Proficiency with Linux troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower
• Proficiency in High Availability and Disaster Recovery
• Proficiency in Linux Performance Tuning
• Proficiency in STIG hardening
• Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in a training-related field or
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in a training-related field
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Solid working knowledge of Azure
• Experience supporting databases running on Linux.
• Experience with working with Federal Government clients
