Position Description:
- CGI is actively looking for a DevOps Engineer with focus on CI/CD pipeline and automation.
- The DevOps Engineer will be helping to develop and execute a DevOps strategy to ensure continuous, quality CI/CD pipeline and automation, will be responsible for planning, designing, creating, and supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation tasks for different lines of business applications and other purposes, configuring and maintaining several DevOps components including Jenkins, GitHub, Udeploy, Artifactory, Ansible, and ArgoCD.
- The role is part of the Middleware platform and will work closely with OpenShift SMEs and application development teams.
- This role can be performed from Bloomfield or Hartford, CT, Raleigh or Cary, NC, Austin or Rollingwood, TX, Chattanooga, TN or Lafayette, LA offices.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement Jenkins CI/CD pipeline
- Continuously review, enhance and optimize the existing CI/CD process and pipelines
- Support Arti factory/Registries
- Support GitHub organizations, repositories and user access
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of best practices for CI/CD pipeline and automation
- Identify technical problems in pipeline and develop software update and fixes for pipeline
- Limited afterhours support for on call escalations for CI/CD pipeline and automation incidents.
Learning Opportunities:
- Work on the ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Collaborate with development and OpenShift team to utilize container best practices
- Plan out CICD projects and align with CICD strategy of the organization.
- Design and implement process and standards for DevOps automation, design, workflow, implementation and documentation
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, software development industry
- 2+ years’ CI/CD pipeline and automation experience
- YAML Knowledge
- Docker, Kubernetes, Git/GitHub, Sonar, Checkmarx, Quay
- RedHat OpenShift 4.x, OpenShift builds, images streams, container images
- OpenShift 4.x Jenkins client
- Jenkins, Jenkins scripted pipeline (Groovy)
- Jenkins and OpenShift integration
- GitHub client, Sonatype Nexus
- Teamwork, customer service oriented
- Willingness to improve in process and technology to promote collaboration
- Agility and speed to deliver using agile, sprint-based work style
- Work a flexible schedule to meet project deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills including but not limited: problem solving, decision making, change management, effective communication and working effectively with diverse teams
Nice to Have Skills:
- Java and/or .NET, Linux Shell Scripting, Windows PowerShell

- Bachelor’s degree computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
