Responsibilities and Duties:

• Our Shipping Department Technicians are in a unique position to have a high impact on patients through the final fulfillment and shipping process.
• Anticipate prescriber and customer needs and resolve issues quickly by finding forward thinking solutions and determining what can be done to fulfill a request.
• Deliver professional and friendly communication and act as a knowledgeable resource to prescriber offices to ensure optimal patient outcome and understand when escalation to a pharmacist is required.
• Maintain knowledge of the products, services and unique regulations affecting compounding and specialty pharmacy’s unique prescription fulfillment process.
• Understand the complex needs of patients and answer patient questions regarding topics such as pricing, shipping, or delivery devices with patience and empathy.
• Accurately box medications for shipment to ensure stability, durability and usability by selecting packaging products that are validated to maintain the appropriate temperature range and by following the outline pack out steps. Always follow cold chain validated pack-out procedures for refrigerated products.
• Select delivery/courier vendor and method (Next Day, Next Day Saturday, Signature Required, UPR, etc.) according to Shipping Policy and Procedure.
• Review comments for specific delivery instructions and compare delivery and mailing address to ensure accuracy.

Salary Range: $18 - $21/hour

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Louisiana.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances. Required Skills •Handling patient information with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
