Position Description:

• CGI is at the forefront of innovation, and our Linux infrastructure plays a pivotal role in driving our success.
• We're looking for a seasoned professional like yourself to help lead our Linux administration efforts, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems.
• This position requires strong knowledge of RHEL 7-8.
• This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support the RHEL environment for the database team
• Development of user documentation and guidelines
• Development of presentation material
• Investigate, collaborate, and resolve production jobs and job failures.
• Support weekend maintenance activities to apply changes during non-peak hours
• Provide input to continuous improvement of Linux Administration and Support

Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Proficiency in Linux Patching/upgrading.
• Proficiency with Linux commands and shell scripting
• Proficiency with Linux troubleshooting

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Basic understanding of the Azure Cloud environment.
• Experience supporting databases running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Knowledge of Ansible and Ansible Tower
• Knowledge of CIS or STIG hardening
• Bachelors degree and 2+ years of work in Linux environments
