Description

• The Laser Operator position involves laser engraving rings, bracelets, pendants, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Start up and shut down lasers, and clean laser engravers, laser welding machines, and the scribing area. 
• Perform maintenance on both mechanical and laser engravers. 
• Load and run engraving programs. 
• Edit and engrave images or handwritten files. 
• Answer calls from Sales, Customer Service, and Special Projects (training provided). 
• Repair defective pieces to avoid recasting and scrapping. 
• Reduce recasts and scrap by repairing substandard pieces identified during initial inspection and maintain data for tracking repair reasons.

Skills:

• Basic computer skills

Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational Training
• Zero to three months experience (willing to train)
